Cherie B. Wigfield
Cherie is the Corporate Operations Director at Edgewater Federal Solutions, Inc., where she was previously their Contracts Director. She has 30 years of contracting experience between positions at the U.S. Department of Energy and Edgewater Federal Solutions. Cherie has a Master Certificate in Government Agile Contract Management from Villanova University (May, 2016). She is currently attending Asbury University working towards a degree in Organizational/Business management and is a member with the National Contract Management Association. She believes you should always give a 110% and strive to learn something new every day.
Cherie lives Brunswick with her husband David and daughter Alexis. Her oldest daughter Heather and her husband Bryce have a beautiful daughter named Haven. Cherie is known as YaYa to Haven. Family is everything to her. She loves Sunday dinners at her house, family trips to Disney and anything Christmas.
When Cherie is not working, she enjoys playing with her dog, a boxer named Morgan, kayaking, decorating, traveling and shopping. Life is short so she strives to enjoy every minute. Cherie is excited about her new role as President of the Frederick Chapter of the NCMA. As she says “Let the
David Kalman is a seasoned contracting professional with over 25 years of Government contract experience. He currently serves as a Director of Contracts and has been an active member of the NCMA for 17 years. While on active duty in the U.S. Army, David supported term and completion contracts for national landmarks including Arlington National Cemetery and historic Fort Myer (now Joint Base Myer–Henderson Hall). Some of these contracts supported events with Presidential attendance. David has been both the customer and the contractor and has worked with organizations of all sizes. He has supported the Joint Staff Comptroller at the Pentagon by providing senior acquisition services and has lectured on contract management for the Maryland Procurement Technical Assistance Program. David has also served as a guest lecturer on negotiation with the Defense Acquisition University and has developed coursework for corporate training in government contracting, communication, and emotional intelligence.
A graduate of Eastern Nazarene College and an Honor Graduate of the United States Army Chaplain Center and School (USACHCS), David is committed to being a life-long learner and leaving a legacy of serving the public trust and the needs of our Government for future generations.
David is proud and humbled to serve the Frederick Chapter of the NCMA. His passion for pursuing excellence in contracting drives him to serve where needed.
Lee J. Ericksen
Mr. Lee J. Ericksen has over 20 years of experience as a Contracting professional. Currently, he is Team Lead and Contracting Officer at the Naval Medical Logistics Command and directly supports the Department of Defense (DoD) Drug Demand Reduction Program where he advises personnel at Army, Navy and Air Force forensic toxicology laboratories.
He is a Level III certified Contracting professional with experience in military and federal civil service as well as private sector. He served at all levels of the Air Force and five MAJCOMs, including two assignments in Europe. As federal employee, he worked as a Contracting Officer in the Intelligence community for over a decade before shifting to Medical Logistics. He has experience administering and terminating a variety of contracts types from firm fixed-price to cost reimbursement with award fee arrangements. He worked in Supply Chain Management in the private sector as well.
Lee received his undergraduate degree at the Raymond J. Harbert College of Business at Auburn University and a master's degree in Human Resources Development from Webster University. He has attended NCMA World Congress three of the last five years.
